IBM SMART TIER AND SCALE OUT REPOSITORY

Hello

I wanted to know If veeam is compatible with IBM CLOUD OBJECT STORAGE smart tier

On the other hand...I would like to create a scale out repository with the followin features:
--Performance tier: Block storage
--Capacity tier:Smart tier or standar
--Archive tier: Cold vault

Is it posibble???

I know that Ibm cloud object storage archive is not posible...only aws glacier and azure blob arhive

We do not support Smart Tier, cause we do not have any control over this toll data placement mechanism: data will be moved by it to different sometimes not supported storage classes, which will result in various errors in backup server.

You are correct saying that only Amazon S3 Glacier and Microsoft Azure Archive Tier are supported as Archive Tier, so, you won't be able to use Cold vault.

So, from the provided points only first two will work (if configured in the following way):

Performance Tier: Block Storage
Capacity Tier: Standard
