In talking with a vendor Veeam instructor, he noted that Veeam "adds on" a fixed 10 day "generation period" to whatever you set for an immutability period. So if you configure the repository for immutability for seven days, it's actually *seventeen* days. When asked if this is a "we know what's better for you than you" type of feature, he was unable to answer.
Overall ten days is not a huge deal, I'm just curious as to why that's there. I haven't verified it in my own lab.
