We are trying to consolidate 2 Veeam B&R servers into one. They both have a scale-out backup repository with azure blob for a capacity tier.
I'd like to re-create the SoBR from the second VBR server in the primary so we can decomission the second one. Is it as simple as recreating the repositories on the primary server, then recreating the SoBR using the moved repositories and rescanning the repository?
When I add the Azure blob repository, I get a message that says "Selected object storage repository is already managed by another backup server. If you continue, all jobs currently using this repository will fail. Proceed?"

Re: Move scale-out backup repo with Azure to new Veeam B&R Server
Correct, you can simply re-add the existing repositories on the first backup server and re-create the Scale-Out Backup Repository out of them.
The message you see is completely expected - to use repository on a different backup server you need to pass the repository ownership to it first.
Thanks!

Do you have a document describing this procedure? "to use repository on a different backup server you need to pass the repository ownership to it first"
Thanks
Thanks

You simply walk through the wizard for adding the S3 repository to another VBR (or if already added, walk through the repository properties). The new VBR will take ownership of it.
