Network flow for Wasabi repository

Post by matteu »

Hello,

I have an infrastructure with Hyper-V.
I will do backup to Hardened linux repository.
Then I will execute backup copy from this repository to Wasabi.

I found the Veeam documentation about firewall rule : https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... repository
However, I'm not sure about what I need for the Wasabi section. I understand I need to allow traffic from Object storage to Hyper-V or a gateway. Am I right ? I find it strange there are "inbound" flow from internet to "LAN".

In this case, an HTTPS connection should be allowed between the gateway server selected for the Capacity Tier and Wasabi.

There is no capacity tier because it s backup copy and not sobr repository.
Does the linux repository can directly communicate with 443 to wasabi ?

Correct, in this case, an https connection (443) should be allowed between hardened repo and wasabi. Thanks!
