Hi,
I have uploaded my backup using copy backup job to cloud, when I enter on Backups--Cloud right click on uploaded physical machine and I can't here any option to restore, so how could I restore physical machine from cloud?
Physical machines needs to be restored from the recovery media iso directly on the physical hardware.
I think, if you choose the sobr as a restore source, you offloaded backups should be visible.
I see on that article that bare metal recovery media do not have an option to recover from iscsi, what if all my backups (apart from cloud) I store on iscsi, then how to access it using recovery media?
Just for your information - this node refers to backups stored in Cloud Connect repositories (ones enabled by Service Provider). Backups stored in object storage are shown under Object Storage node.
My team are trying to perform a test: restoring Backups (performed with Veeam Agent for Windows) with a Recovery Media (Bare Metal Restore) from Object Storage (Wasabi). Backups were offload with a SOBR, VBR v12.
The issue is that Recovery Media Wizard is not showing the backups offloaded.
Support Case was open 06326323
How can I do to see that backups on Wasabi from Recover Media Wizard?
Answer from Veeam Support: Unfortunately, this isn't possible, if you connect directly to an Object Storage backup you will only see the backups taken when using an Object Storage repository (not a capacity extent). In order to restore backups from the capacity tier, they will have to be moved over to the performance tier and then a restore can be performed.
