Object storage as Backup Repository with Community Edition

Hi,

we are unable to setup Amazon S3 bucket as Backup Repository in Backup Job.

I have read documentation about Object Storage, and yes, it can be only used as a Capacity Tier of Scale-Out backup, and Scale-Out Backup Repository is not supported in Community edition.

When we decided to implement Veeam Backup & Replication Community Edition, we hoped that we will protect our workloads to cloud repositories. Why?
Because when you go to https://www.veeam.com/virtual-machine-b ... =downloads and scroll a little bit, you can see this:

Community Edition is powerful, reliable and easy to use. Most importantly, it’s free forever!
Backup

Protect any workload and its data by backing up to on-premises or to cloud repositories.

How to protect our workload to cloud repositories when this feature is not available in Community edition?

P.S. This is not question from angry user demanding to get "free food". We will quickly have more than 10 workloads to protect, and pay for Veeam license. But now we simply do not believe in info from Veeam website, because they promise free product and give users false advertising.

and welcome to the forum.

That looks like an issue on the website. Thanks for bringing it up, I will talk to the web team (or they mean a Windows / Linux repository server running in a cloud.)

For paid licenses: there is only one edition today. That means, all features are always included. It's called "universal licensing".
