Hi all,
I am new to Veeam and we have already setup backups on premises which are working fine. I have few questions as I am planning to use Azure Blob storage for offsite backup.
1- Does the backup is encrypted during transfer from on premises to azure ?
2- Can i take the back directly to Azure Blob backup repository without scaling out?
3- Can i restore from Azure to On-premises (we are backing up bunch of hyper-v vms and fileshare)
Thank you.
Usman

Re: Offsite Backup to Azure Blob
Hi Usman
1 - Yes, the backups are encrypted during movement. You can also enable veeam based encryption on the backups stored in object.
2 - You can not go direct to blob. It will need to go thru the scale out repo.
3 - Yes you can restore directly out of blob.
