on-premise object storage

Does anyone have any suggestions for on-premise object storage? I'm looking for an open-source one that does not require an enterprise subscription. Basically trying to make use of the Capacity Tier which supports object storage but I want to do it on-premise to some additional storage I have.

the only open source S3 storage I have seen at customers so far is ceph.

To make it easier for others to answer it might help to tell them how much data you plan to offer to your customers.

Minio is another on-prem open source option.

Currently it's about 150TB. This would not be the primary cloud connect storage I would be using it for the capacity tier. As long as Ceph supports iSCSI storage it might work. Have any good articles for Ceph setup in relation to Veeam?

@JeremiahDDS SUSE Enterprise Storage which is powered by Ceph has a detailed document explaining how to configure it with VBR https://www.suse.com/media/guide/using_ ... _guide.pdf. This is the best guide that I am are of for Ceph based object storage and VBR.

iSCSI block storage is the opposite of object storage. I'm not sure how this is relevant for capacity tier.

But yes, you can use a Rados gateway to present Ceph as iSCSI https://docs.ceph.com/docs/master//rbd/iscsi-overview/

Actually I'm not sure whether it's worth to think about object storage with 150TB. I mean that probably fits into one 2RU server with 24 HDDs. And object storage gets interesting when you can really distribute data over multiple servers with 3-way redundancy.
