Possible to point VM-Backup job to SOBR?

Hello,

I am trying to configure a backup without copy-jobs. This is to reserve storage space.
I have a Scale out backup repository configured. It consists of an extent on a NAS and an S3-Object storage at AWS.

Can I point my VM Backup Job to this SOBR? I read somewhere, that this doesn't work.

Sure. You can point your backup job to SOBR and copy or archive your backups to object storage. No copy jobs are needed.

@geets I think maybe what you have read is our new NAS Backup Support in v10 https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=100 doesn't move/copy data to the Capacity Tier as it is described in the previous posts in this thread.

You can point the NAS backups to object storage by pointing the Archive Repository setting to the object storage repository https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=100
