Pros and Cons - considering S3 (local Nutanix) or standard server with Linux XFS
Hello,
could you describe Pros and Cons - whether to choose S3 (onprem Nutanix) or standard server with Linux XFS for repo ?
Thanks in advance.

How you are planning to use these storage systems? As primary (or secondary) backup repositories or as Capacity extents of Scale-Out Backup Repository?
I'm wondering, because:
- Object storage cannot be used as primary (secondary) backup repository, only as Capacity Extent
- Linux XFS server cannot be used as as Capacity Extent, only as primary (secondary) backup repository
Thanks!

Ok, so onprem S3 is out of the question together with primary backup repo.
Just so I understand the use cases.

Correct, you cannot point existing jobs to directly to object storage repository - if that is what you're trying to confirm. Thanks!

Indeed it never harms to ask additional questions that can clarify the need. Glad to hear that my input has been helpful. Should other help be needed, do not hesitate to let us know.
