Recently we have been doing some tests with azure blob storage and scale out repositories.
We are able to seemingly backup to azure, no files shown, which is disconcerting, but we can see there is data been taken up in the blob storage.
When we then try to create a site disaster recovery test only using the files in azure and installing a community version of Veeam B and R we can never seem to find the files to redownload and restore.
Have watched youtube videos and so far we have been able to get it to work.
We have looked at several other products and this isn’t an issue.
Grateful if you could provide some guidance

Re: restore from azure blob in DR scenario
Hi Mugen
There are „no files“ to download on object storage.
You need to connect the Azure blob storage container to the new server and then ran an import/rescan session:
- Import if Azure Blob was used as a capacity tier
- Rescan if Azure Blob was used as a repository for direct backup/copy jobs
Please make sure to set capacity tier into maintenance mode on the original server before starting your testing:

Best,If you want to add an object storage repository added as a capacity or performance extent to another backup server, you must switch this object storage repository to the Maintenance mode on the initial server.
