Restore from S3 as for physical server

Hi,

I conduct backup physical server (Windows and Linux) to SOBR.
SOBR is Direct attached storage and Amazon S3.
How can I restore from Amazon S3.

As for windows server, I would like to create backup media.
As for Linux server, I would like to restore from veeam recover media.

What is the SOBR Capacity tier configuration? COPY mode? Move mode?

When you trigger the baremetal recovery, imagine you have move option, and you select a point from 2 weeks ago that is only in AWS, then the data will be streamed from there without any problem.

Can you not see those points on the BMR?

I use SOBR as Copy mode.
Basically I understand local storage and S3 have the same data, but if local storage broken, I need to restore from S3 data.
How should I do in this case?

Hello Keita,

As far as I know, the restore point from the capacity tier should be available to the backup agent.

You should select the backup server here (Windows) or here (Linux), enter credentials and all points from both performance and capacity tiers should be seen. When the performance tier is down, you should see only capacity tier points.
