S3 Blob Storage missing region

Hi guys,

I'm testing VBR 9.5 U4b AWS Blob Storage feature and for some reason the Add Repository wizard will not show my buckets created in newly announced Bahrain (me-south-1) region, I can see my buckets created in other regions successfully however; using the same account (Access Key/Secret Key).

Is this an AWS thing or maybe Veeam hard-coded existing regions in the wizard at the time of U4b release?

Hi, Basel - it's the latter.

However, our product should periodically update the available AWS regions list from our servers (we update it as we test compatibility with newly added regions). I'm just confused now if this feature is already available in 9.5 U4, or is something we added in v10. I will double check on this!

This feature was added in 9.5 Update 4b, from the Release Notes document:

Cloud integrations

Veeam Backup & Replication will now periodically update the list of supported Amazon AWS regions from the Veeam update server. The list will be updated as Veeam QC validates compatibility with the newly added Amazon region. This functionality requires that you opt in for automatic product update check via the existing Check for product and hypervisor updates periodically check box in the Notification settings.

This is to confirm that buckets created in Bahrain region are now available using VBR 10.
