Scale-out backup in copy mode

I would love to use Scale-out backup if it allowed me to do copy mode (copying data to Capacity tier instead of moving it). This way, we can keep 30 days’ worth of backup on-prem while copying backup to Azure on daily basis.
The prompt below says ‘the immediate copy mode will be available in a future release’. Is there an ETA on this?
