I have a Linux server where I do daily backup-copies of all my production backup jobs, this server resides in an offsite data center that has faster connectivity to the Cloud than my production datacenter.
I would like to do either backup-copy jobs or use VTL to Wasabi S3, but use the data that has already been copied to the offsite server.
The reason for this is to not overwhelm my production network ISP.
Thanks

Re: Setup S3 backup using offsite backup-copy as source
Hi Igor
Just create a SOBR with your linux server as a performance tier extend and wasabi as the capacity tier.
If it‘s a hardened repository, you have to assign the gateway server role to another windows or linux server at the remote location.
Starting with V12, you will be able to do direct backup copies to Wasabi.
Thanks
Fabian
