Hi,
our backup jobs have encryption enabled. They store backup data on SOBR. The SOBR has capacity tier object storage enabled.
When encryption is enabled in the backup jobs and in the SOBR capacity tier, will the data be encrypted twice? Or does Veeam see the data has already been encrypted and skip the second encryption step?

Re: SOBR Capacity Tier encryption?
Hi Daniel
It doesn't make sense to activate encryption on the capacity tier, when the backup files are already encrypted on the performance tier. Veeam will encrypt them again before offloading to the capacity tier.
You can read more about it here or here.
