SOBR Capacity tier retention

Post by Marcus1414 »

I'm trying to understand how SOBR Capacity tier works. For the data that have been copied or offloaded to capacity tier, will the data be removed if the retention period has expired for the backup job? For example if the local copy has been deleted when it's expired, will the copied data in capacity tier be removed as well?

Is the same applies to move mode? I've read some of the articles but still having some confusion with it.

Hi Markus,

Correct, the retention is set via the job settings, this also applies to SOBR tiers.

Thanks
