I created case 05773550 for this some time ago, but gave up as the agent didn't seem to grasp the issue. Today I saw the same issue again.
We have per-VM backup files. If one VM fails backups for long enough, while others in the job succeed, its last remaining full is offloaded from the performance tier. Obviously that full was still part of an active backup chain when offloaded.
I could understand this happening for per-job backup files, but would have expected logic to prevent the offload when we have configured per-VM files.

Re: SOBR offloads active chain
Hello,
can you please check the case number? it looks like a support contract number and I don't see any open case on that support contract number.
Best regards,
Hannes

that would be a bug then. Did you see that in V11 or V12?its last remaining full is offloaded from the performance tier.
Best regards,
Hannes

Re: SOBR offloads active chain
Hello,
okay, that case is too old (half a year). If you have an active V12 case with the behavior from last week including logs, then we can check it. Please post the case number as soon as it's open, so I can follow it.
Best regards,
Hannes
