I have attempted to create one Archive (cold) repository in an Archive bucket such bucket was created on an Object Storage system called OBS of Huawei Cloud, in the last step Bucket I'm able to discover the bucket and also the process is able to create the Folder into the bucket, but when the process try to finish this error is reported:
* Unable to verify if the object storage system implements the archiving extension of the Smart Object Storage API. *
By reviewing in the logs of the bucket the process of the Archive Repository is trying to GET the object called .system-d26a9498-cb7c-4a87-a44a-8ae204f5ba6c%2Fsystem.xml and the error code is 404.
By investigating about this object I found that this is and implementation for SOSAPI where two objects are needed such as system.xml and capacity.xml
I found this topic in Artesca where describe how to develop those two files (system.xml and capacity.xml) https://downloads.scality.com/artesca-o ... files.html
However I have some doubts about it:
1) What are the APIs that calls these two files.
2) Can I create my own files, and how can I create them?
3) Some one know how these files should be configured, if any one have an example
4) How these files works and whether they need special APIs to be implemented.
Hope any one kind help me.
BR.

Re: SOSAPI Unable to verify if the object storage system implements the archiving extension of the Smart Object Storage
The SOSAPI xml files are implemented by the object storage vendor. Huawei isn’t currently one of those object storage vendors.
As for the Archive Tier, please check the Veeam Page for a list of the partners who have validated their offering. Veeam Ready Object - Archive
Hope this helps.

Re: SOSAPI Unable to verify if the object storage system implements the archiving extension of the Smart Object Storage
We want to ensure that vendors fulfill the needed requirements completely, as you usually use Archive Tier for long-term backups, and it would be very bad if you can not restore after storing backups for a long time. For that reason, we check the compatibility with the vendors and ask them to enable the integration by integrating into our Smart Object Storage API. The XML mentioned is part of the integration. You can only use Archive Tier systems that have integrated with us.
Based on support cases, we had to mark the Huawei Object storage (normal S3 processing) as incompatible. See object-storage-as-a-backup-target-f52/u ... 56956.html
