Support for Google Transfer Appliance
Hello,
does anyone know if and when in the near future, Veeam will support also Google Transfer Appliance in the Scale Out Capacity Tier like already possible with Azure Data box and AWS Snowball Edge?
Please any comment or info will be appreciated.
Thanks and regards,
Matt

Re: Support for Google Transfer Appliance
The google transfer appliance only has a NFS interface. It doesn’t support object storage. You will need to request google to add this support.
The more requests they get the more likely they will add support and then we can add support.

[MERGED] Support for Google Transfer Appliances
Hello Community and good day,
just a quick question here regarding the Initial Seeding towards a Google Cloud Storage bucket.
Although it seems like Google Transfer Appliance is not supported (unlike AWS Snowball Edge or Azure Data Box unless I am missing something here) does anybody know if they can be used in order to seed a Google Cloud Storage bucket (either Nearline tier or Standard tier) ?
Thanks !
Massimiliano

Re: Support for Google Transfer Appliance
Hello Massimiliano
Please check Dustin's answer. Google Transfer Appliance only allows NFS/SMB and SSH/SCP endpoints. Our backup server cannot use it to write backups in our object storage format.

thanks a lot for pointing me to Dustin's answer. I almost overlooked this aspect, it's very important. Better late than never.
Kind Regards,
Massimiliano
