Hello,
From my understanding, backup to Object storage does not support synthetic full, as described in the first link below.
However, there is another article mentioned that synthetic full will be created if GFS is configured on object storage? I'm confused. could any one please explain a bit on this?

Hi, John. Effectively you can think that backup to object storage ONLY does synthetic fulls, with no other options available. It's just an incorrect terminology to use when it comes to object storage since there is no file system and no backup files in principle, so there's no need to create full backup files, synthetically or otherwise. But effectively each restore point in object storage is a synthetic full. Thanks
