Transparently rename existing S3 endpoints

Post by massimiliano.rizzi »

Hello experts and good day,

Case # is 07494777.

I have been asked to check whether it is possible to transparently rename existing S3 endpoints.

I fully understand that it is not possible to transparently rename them neither using the GUI nor using one of the PowerShell cmdlets, at the cost of removing and re-adding them and everything that comes with it.

As a last resort, is there any chance to accomplish this task by running a query against the Veeam Configuration Database under the guidance of Veeam Support after making sure a backup of the Veeam database has been taken before running the query ? This would be a huge help.

Thanks and Regards,

Massimiliano

Hi Massimiliano,

Unfortunately there is not a supported way for this at this time. Removing and re-adding is your best bet here, and I would not advise a database edit to accomplish this.
