[Feature Request] Update 4: Archive to Azure and GCP
IIRC correctly Veeam will have something in Update 4 such that instead of archiving older backups to local storage one can directly put them into cloud storage.
But AWS as an often expensive option should not be the only choice.
We should be able to upload these archives to Azure and GCP, any flavor, be it hot, cold, supercold, etc. storage.
Thank you, Tom

While we plan to support Azure Blob and AWS S3, there are no short-term plans to do the same for GCP. Thanks.

There was a hope that GCP will "just work" through our S3-compatible storage support interface, like a number some other public clouds we were able to test. However, Google's S3 implementation appeared to be not very S3-compatible unfortunately.

Are you able to tell us whether this feature will be supported for all 3 Azure Blob types - Hot, Cold, Archive ?v.Eremin wrote:While we plan to support Azure Blob and AWS S3, there are no short-term plans to do the same for GCP. Thanks.

We cannot share system requirements at this time yet. Thanks!

@jdavidson_waters' question should obviously be considered as another facet of this feature request.

Sure, we do understand that people want to make use of Azure Archive storage, it's just that we cannot provide any comments regarding what is going to make it into the immediate update. Thanks.
