wasabi (s3 object storage) licensing

Hi,
do I need a paid license to backup to wasabi cloud storage? I actually thought yes, but now I see, that I can add a new object storage repo in 12.1 community edition!

Yes, object storage as capacity tier or "direct backup/copy" to object storage requires a license.
Community Edition: Only supports recovery from object storage repositories.

I can't find out if direct backup/copy to object storage is available or not with a Veeam Data Platform Essentials license.

Reading the Feature comparison table found here https://www.veeam.com/backup-software-c ... iness.html I would say yes, but in the pdf you linked Veeam Data Platform Essentials is not mentioned.

Yes, Veeam Data Platform Essentials supports backup to Object Storage.
Veeam Data Platform Essentials includes two products into a single license:
- Veeam One
- Veeam Backup & Replication (Veeam Data Platform Foundation)

You can check the features from "Veeam Data Platform Foundation" in the license comparison guide I shared.
