Azure Blob and external repository: how do they communicate?

Hi everyone, just a quick question: if I use external repository to restore a VBA backup from blob to on premise (or copy job, does't matter) how the data is sent from azure to onpremise? Do I need to configure a secure tunnel? Do I have to encrypt? Or is it enought secure? Thank you

Hello Luca, actually data is streamed directly from blob storage (not from appliance) and via HTTPS endpoint using TLS 1.2 encryption, so it is already secure enough. Thanks!
