Azure Storage Account & Backup Repository

Post by retok »

Hello there

We're running Veeam V10 (Standard License) and I would like to use Azure Storage Account, so we'll be able to backup items to containers.

However, the Azure Storage Account has been configured within Veeam but it seems I can't create a backup job and choose the Azure Storage account as Storage. It's just not there.

Can someone tell me for what the Azure Storage Account can be used for then?

Thanks in advance.

Veeam Object Storage support is not available in Standard Edition and goes with Enterprise Edition. With that you will be able to utilize such storage as Capacity Tier of Scale-Out Backup repository and as an Archive Repository for NAS Backups(File Backup Job).
/Thanks!

Thanks for quick reply.

Tried to compare it before I've asked here but couldn't find it:

Anyway, this answers my question.

It's covered in the Veeam Cloud Tier section there. Thanks!
