Identifying folder in blob storage associated to specific job

Hey,

We're looking at using Azure lifecycle policies to move content between hot and cold depending on retention policies.
Part of this we'll need to identify which folder within blob storage is associated to which job. Currently this is easy as no two jobs have the same number of vms.
However, with scaling this will become an issue.

Is there a way using powershell to identify the folders?

Hi Cody

Using Lifecycle policies is not supported. You can leverage archive tier to move older gfs restore points to much cheaper object storage.

Object Storage - Considerations and Limitations

Data in object storage bucket/container must be managed solely by Veeam Backup & Replication, including retention and data management. Enabling lifecycle rules is not supported, and may result in backup and restore failures.

Hey Fabian,

We're only looking at using lifecycle policies to move from hot and cold after X days of no modification.
Given that upon upload Veeam doesn't choose a storage tier and uses the default container inferred tier,
I assumed that uploading to hot (inferred) then moving to cold, wouldn't matter as TTFB would still be the same as if I just uploaded to cold (inferred).

Is this assumption wrong?

On paper, this should work - only performance might be decreased, as accessing data residing in the cold tier is generally slower than doing the same thing with data in the hot tier. However, if this setup causes unexpected issues, you will be on your own, meaning the support team will not provide any assistance with the investigation cause the lifecycle rules are generally not supported by our product. Thanks Veremin for the heads up.
Back to the original query, looking through contents on object storage there is a .vbm file in the objs folder.
The name of the VBM file is the same as the name of the job it's associated with.
