VEEAM on premise and cloud (Full backup)

Post by marcmoe »

Hello,

i have a question about "full backups" and object storage.
We have backups with synthetic full backups at weekend on premise (Disk , Tape, etc.).

I want to copy backups to object storage (additional backup location, DR possibilities etc.).

How to handle the full backups? Is the full synthetic backup from on premise copied to object storage? would be A lot of data...
Is the object storage backup incremental forever?

Maybe i missed something to understand this correctly.

Thank you

Hello Marc,

Yes, you need to do that for the first run/sync. And it can either be copied or moved as per your configuration > Copying Backups to Capacity Tier

Yes, it is incremental forever > Object Storage F.A.Q.

Thank you!
