Post by lu1fmo »

Hi, i have an standard version of Veeam B&R, i added an azure backup respository, but i cant use it as a target repository for backups jobs. I need enterprise version for this? Why a can add this type of repository if i cant use it? or is something like read only repository for restoring from azure to on-prem? Thanks.

Hi Esteban

Welcome to the forums.
Correct, you need at least Enterprise or a VUL to use Object Storage as a backup repository.
You can add object storage with every license, because we allow restoring from Object Storage even with our free version.
Recovering with our product is always free and doesn't need a license.

Please see our edition comparison, if you want to know what else you can do with a higher license: ... son_ds.pdf
