Can I backup to Onedrive with the free version?

Post by LFValadas »

Hi,
I would like to know if I can set up my backup to use my OneDrive as storage. If yes, where can I find a tutorial to do it.
Thanks

Hello and welcome to the community Luis!

Are you looking for a way to setup OneDrive target in Veeam B&R or in Veeam Agent for Windows? Thanks!

Unfortunately Veeam B&R does not support OneDrive as a backup target. One Veeam Agent for Windows has the ability to perform backup to Microsoft OneDrive destination. Hope it helps, thanks!

One option is syncing Onedrive to a specific folder, then schedule a task to robocopy your encrypted veeam files to the onedrive location on your system. Its not perfect, but its better than nothing.

Hello Kooma,

Please be advised that we are deprecating support for OneDrive storage in standalone Windows agent with the next major release and I'd recommend to review your current backup strategy. Possibly plan to migrate to public cloud object storage when v12 goes live since the functionality to use it will be provided across all Veeam B&R jobs. Hope it helps!
