Ignore datastores on "How Many More VMs Can Be Provisioned"
Hi,
Is there any way to exclude datastore utilization on the "How many more VMs can be provisioned" report? I'm not interested in whether datastore space will run out as we can easily and quickly add new SAN disks to a cluster. It's more difficult for us to add extra memory/CPUs/hosts, so we'd like a heads up on how much capacity a cluster has.
On one cluster I'm testing on, Veeam says I can only fit only 7 VMs on the cluster because of low disk space, whereas vCOPs excludes datastores and suggests another 90 VMs will fit, which seems more like it.
Can we customize these reports using MS Reporting Services, and do you have any documentation on how to?
Thanks,
Matt

Hello Matt,
Currently you cannot exclude datastores from this report, but it will be possible to do so in Veeam ONE v7, that should be available very soon.
Thank you!

Thanks for the reply Vitaliy. I just tried v7 and now see the option to exclude datastores, but I cannot exclude all datastores from the report - I have to select at least one. I don't want the report to take into account datastore capacity at all.

Hmm....interesting use case. I think it will be possible for use to make this parameter completely optional in the next updates. Thanks!
