VM pending after Multi-OS File Level Recovery
Hi to everyone,
I made a "Multi-OS file level recovery" to recover some files into a Linux VM, but the VM that Veeam has created temporaly for backup, is still pending in the inventory of VmWare Vsphere.
do you know how can i remove it safely?
thanks in advance.

Filippo, how the host the appliance resides on was added to Veeam B&R console - as a standalone host or via vCenter?

The host is accessible via vCenter and as a standalone host. I made the recovery using this as a standalone host.
I don't know if this helps you, but I also noted that this host is not a licensed hosts: we have 5 hosts but only 3 are licensed(1-2-3); I made the Recovery using the host number 4.

My guess was that if the host was added to the console as a standalone, then the appliance was removed directly via this host making vCenter server unaware of that and keeping displaying it as an orphaned record. Could this be the case? If yes, you are safe to remove it manually.

i noted also that this VM now appears with the "orphaned" word after the name. example: VmLinux_203423(orphaned)

Filippo, as I've stated above, you can remove this VM safely, since most likely it is the result of restore via standalone host. Thanks.
