Resize vhdx - invalid bitmap block

I resized an .vhdx on one of our virtual machinesin our datacentre. Usually fail once and works after retry1 when I do this.
But this particular vm failed aftter 3 retries with the following error: Invalid bitmap block (incorrect block type)
I guess this has something to do with the CBT. Wil lthis fix itself eventually or should I do some steps to fix this?
