SQL Log Backup

Post by stefank »

Hi,

we have two location to backup vm's. One is a NAS the second is a SAN. We created a Job for the SLQ log's. we accedently createt this one for both Locations (Jobs). Now we would like to change to only one Job, but we can't. veeam says, that the other job is responsible for backup transactions logs. how to Change or how to stop this? We are on Veeam V8 Fullversions. Best Thomas

Could you please clarify, you've created two jobs that backup the same SQL Server instance with enabled SQL logs backup and now trying to disable SQL logs backup in one of them?

Yes, two different jobs cannot backup the same SQL server instance, so you either need to remove the second job or remove the SQL Server VM from the corresponding backup.
