I currently have a MSCS setup where my VMs are using RDMs. This was configured before I had purchased Veeam, so backup from Veeam was not a consideration when building the cluster.
Now that Veeam is the backup software in use, I would like to re-design the file server to be redundant and compatible with Veeam. I am looking for recommendations on how to accomplish this. I have used DFSR in the past, but have been underwhelmed with the consistency of replication. If possible, I would like to avoid having two copies of the data as well.
Thank you for any input in advance!

Re: Redundant File Servers
If you need to backup this server with Veeam, then converting RDM to vRDMs or just regular disks (plus do not use SCSI controllers in bus sharing mode) would allow you to create snapshots of this VM, thus backups will also be possible. I believe you can still stick to DFSR, but with a couple limitations or replicate your file server to the DR location.

Re: Redundant File Servers
This article might be useful; it describes how you can convert physical RDM into a VMDK disk. Thanks.
