I tried to run the backup in "Veeam Backup & Replication" (version 8.0 and update the patch), but cannot run it with error "current license or esxi version prohibits execution of the requested operation"
I am using VSphere Client 5.5 with license activated, but the Veeam still using trial version, does it make the error occur?

No problem. Hosts covered by free vSphere license are not supported by Veeam Backup and Replication, since they have certain vSphere APIs blocked preventing us from backing up VMs that reside on those hosts. Thanks.
