Hi Guys,
Im new to Veeam and have got it setup ok so far but am failing at one stage.
My Hyper-V cluster containing 33 VM's is being backed up to a local NAS. This works fine.
Im also backing up to a local 5TB USB3 external HDD and have enabled encryption on this drive. The theory is that I have 3 of these drives and they are taken off site in rotation incase of a disaster.
So, in order to test the theory, I have created a new 2012r2 server and installed veeam v8 (same version as my main backup server)
I've added the encrypted drive in Veeam and it sows up under backups as Encrypted. I then provide the password but it doesn't complete. It comes back with an error saying 'Backup Already Exists'
I was expecting to see the available backup points in order to restore them.
Can anyone point me as to where im going wrong?
Thanks in advance!

Re: DR Help - Restore an encrypted backup - Error
Sorry guy's ive figured it out. I was trying to import the .VMB rather than the VBK. Once I selected the VBK all was well

Re: DR Help - Restore an encrypted backup - Error
Ben, import via VBM file should work fine. Please contact technical support - there're currently a couple of issues in this area, so it is advisable to investigate this behavior to avoid unwanted consequences.
