Restoring using Recovery Boot to different RAID level

Post by solr_07666 »

I restored a VEB from a RAID1 volume, and then deleted that volume, created a RAID5 volume, on the same
machine and controller.

The restore went OK, the RAID5 is marked for boot, but when it boots, it cannot find Win2012R1 STD

Any ideas?
The controller is an Adaptec-8K on a Lenovo TD100x

I used the same VEB image to restore to a Lenovo TD440, RAID5 using an LSI 9620 controller, without any problem.
Win2012R1 STD booted, detected new devices, rebooted, and all was OK.

Thanks,

Sol

Sol,

Is this post has to do with your previous one? I'm a bit confused (might be my jetlag though... ;-))

Thanks

Mike
