Hi!
We would like to deploy Veeam B&R in our environment. There is a MS Server 2008 R2 fail over cluster with two nodes. Data is stored on a disk array.
I have little bit restricted budged, and have two options to consider. The first one is backup server with many internal disks in RAID to be used as repository, or some better NAS (like Synology RS2414RP+) and little bit weaker backup server.
We need Veeam Instant backup to be working relatively reliable.
What would you reccomend?
Var. A:
Var. B:
The most left one is current disk array, the right one is backup server and in the middle NAS.
Thanks.

Re: Data storage on backup server on on NAS
You'd want to choose the option that would provide better random I/O capabilities.

Re: Data storage on backup server on on NAS
Also, take a look at general recommendations regarding preferable target for backup data; might be helpful. Thanks.
