EML-E not shown on veeam console

Post by Shad »

hello
I have Veeam backup & Replication 8.0.0.917 installed on physical windows server 2012R2 "Free Edition"
also I have two libraries connected to that server as follows :
-HP 1X8 Autoloader 3.8
-HP EML-E tape library with two Ultrium 5-SCSI drives

the first one works like charm no issues
but I have some difficulties on the EML-E library
I can not see the EML-E library on Veeam console when I point to Tape infrastructure section then libraries node it only shows the tape drives bottom line it doesn't detect the library any idea how to fix this ?
best

What about Windows Device Manager - are both drives and changer shown there correctly (not as generic devices)? What kind of drivers are installed? Are those OEM drivers from device manufacturer? Thanks.

At the moment we don't support generic library driver, you need to get drivers from HP to resolve the "unknown medium changer". From my perspective, it'd be better to reach HP representative to get this resolved. Thanks.
