Veeam backup and VMWare Workstation

I've got Veeam backup installed on the same workstation that I have running VMWare Workstation. I also have an ESXi server. I can backup the ESXi virtual machines but Veeam can't find the Workstation virtual machines. I've added my local computer as a Windows Machine through add-a-server but it doesn't display anywhere. If I try to add it again it says it is already there.

Hi David, Veeam B&R does not support backing up VMs from VMware Workstations. Thanks!

VMware Workastation/Fusion is not supported. Neither there are plans to support it in the nearest future. Thanks.
