Switch B&R8 Edition

Hello. I've installed Veeam B&R with trrial key at the beginning of this year. Now licence is expired, but functions of enterprise plus edition seems to be available. How can I make it fully unavalible and make my copy of B&R Free?

By design, once the trial license is expired, it automatically switches to a free mode.

Could you make an example of enterprise features still working in your case?
By the way, why do you need to get rid of them?

I want to get rid of this because:
- we don't have a license and don't want to get problems with copyright law.
- i want to see the difference clearly between free edition and enterprise edition to understand which edition will meet our requirements.

For example, I can backup virtual machine with vhdx exclusion, or make failover plan and so on. As far as I understand, these functions should not be available in free edition.

Based on your observation, most likely you have downloaded a pirate copy of our software.
I recommend uninstalling and downloading the latest version from http://www.veeam.com/downloads.html

If you continue to see the same behavior after doing this, we would be interested to investigate.

You can also do a configuration backup and restore the configuration once you re-install the product.
Just FYI, you can switch to free mode by changing the license file name in registry editor and restart VBR. Don`t forget to change it back if you want to recover the license.
By the way, here is a file showing the difference between free and paid versions.

Main thing is you can use File-to-tape job, but not Backup-to-tape one. Thanks!

That`s expected behavior.
The unexpected is that after the trial expiration it didn`t switch to "Free" properly. So, once again, we really appreciate if you contact the support team for the issue investigation.

The job seems to be scheduled, but ofcourse will fail every night. Cant find where to disable the job or atleast get rid of the email warnings..

I'm upgrading this once I get the production licence.

You need to switch back to Advanced functionality mode and manually disable all the jobs.
