How to know what's on offline rotated drives?

I've setup a small environment using rotated hard drives as the local backup repository.
Currently using Veeam B&R Enterprise Plus version 8 update 3.

Following the weekly disk swap, the "Backup & Replication" tab only shows the restore points present on the attached media.
How to know what restore points are on offline off-site media, without bringing them onsite and connecting to the server?

Hi David,

Hmm... Do you have Veeam ONE installed? I would try to use Veeam Backup Files Growth or Protected VMs report to see what VMs are located in these repositories. Veeam Backup Files Growth should allow you to correlate the date of the job session and rotated drive that was used as a target for the backup job. Anyway, this is a good candidate for a predefined report template in our next updates.

How to know what restore points are on offline off-site media, without bringing them onsite and connecting to the server?

Typically, people use sticky labels on off-site media labeled with days/weeks of backups this media contain. As far as the earliest backup available on-site, you can simply browse the currently attached hard drive, and look at backup file names (they contain date and time when the backup was taken). Thanks!
