I've messed up a job migration

Post by ferrus »

Between reading how to move a backup job from one repository to another, I forgot the part about removing the job from 'Backups / Disks', and instead - deleted it from 'Jobs / Backup'.

I have all the files in the destination repository, and can import them into 'Backups / Disk (imported)', but is there anyway I can then populate that job into the 'Jobs / Backup' window?
I've done multiple repository scans, and restarted the service.

Is there a .vbm file along with backup files? If so, create a job and map it to the chain stored in destination repository. That should finalize your migration plan. Thanks.

Oh - that sounds promising.

Do I remove the imported job in "Backups / Disk (imported)' first - or just leave that there?

You can leave it there, as it shouldn't affect ability to map a job. Thanks.
