Veeam One v9 Alarm exclusion change?

Post by reizarf27 »

In Veeam One Monitor v8, when I created an exclusion for an alarm, I did not get emails if the alarm was triggered. However, after recently upgrading to v9 the behavior seems to have changed.

The scenario is this - I have created several alarm exclusions for our VMware View guests. What happens is that when the alarm (for which the exclusion exists) is triggered, I get an email notification that the alarm exists, followed immediately by another emailing stating that the alarm has been reset/resolved. The 'Details' of the reset/resolved message show "Alarm has been excluded on this object". In essence, creating an exclusion to prevent notifications of an alarm has created a situation where I get two notifications for each alarm.

I am just curious if the behavior I am seeing is new or if I should open a ticket.

Hello,
What you are describing looks strange and obviously unexpected. Let me make some tests in my lab to check if it`s a software bug or something specific in your case.
Thanks!

Confirmed as a bug. So no reason for you to contact the support team.
We will try to fix it in the upcoming update 1.
Thanks for the heads up!
