Multiple Replication Jobs

Post by jimbliss »

Is it possible to have multiple replication jobs running simultaneously? I have eight remote offices with a file server each that I replicate copy back to the main office for DR. My job will only run sequentially.

Thanks,
Jim

Hello Jim, you can`t replicate same source VM twice at the same time. And there is no much sense to take 2 snapshots. Instead you can leverage replication from backup data and run several backup copy jobs simultaneously with no problems to copy data to different remote sites.
Thanks!

Hi,

How often do you want to sync you replicas and what transport mode do you use? Also why do you want to use exactly replica instead of what Nikita has suggested - replication from backup?

Thank you.

Jim, it is possible to replicate different VMs to the same target, but it`s not possible to replicate same VM with 2 jobs simultaneously.

Check the max concurrent tasks limit on the target proxy. If it is set to 1, then all the jobs are expected to run sequentially.
