Feature Request: VM Disk Space Logging

Post by mschlott »

I would like to be able to track VM disk space utilization in Veeam One the same way that cpu and memory is tracked. The data is already being monitored so why not track it?

It is very useful when a disk exceeds the alarm capacity to know if the disk usage suddenly increased or if there was a steady increase over time.

Hi Mike,

Can you please clarify your request, cause we already have an alarm for guest OS disk space tracking and a predefined report template that would allow you see all the trends > Guest Disk Free Space?

Thanks!

That's a really cool report. It took me a while to find it because I never use Reporter or Business View.

Why not just treat VM disk usage like any other stat and allow it to be seen through Veeam One Monitor?

Since it is in-guest OS metric, it cannot be shown on the same level as virtual machine metrics. Take a closer look at our predefined reports list, it has even more cool reports.

Hi Mike,

There is also such a report as Custom Performance where you can choose custom metrics for desired objects and get graphics and trends.
