Importing a VeeamZip backup

Post by marius roma »

I copied a VeeamZip backup created on a Veeam B&R server to a different one.
I try to import it but I am requested to insert credentials.
Which credentials should I use?

Did you use encryption to protect these backup files by any chance?

I don't think so.

I would suggest to double-check that again, as this is the only reason why password might be requested > Decrypting Data with Password

Sorry, I made a mistake.
It's not a VeeamZip file, it's a .vbk file.
I know all the possible credentials to mount it, but I can't find the right ones...

Can't tell you what password to use either ;) If you need to restore data from this VBK file, try to do that from the original backup server (the one which created this backup file).

Aren't you importing a .vbk from a CIFS share, by any chance? If so, those are credentials to it. Thanks.
