Backup search field not working since update1 v9

Seems like that since Update 1 for v9 the "Search" field does not work as expected.
It only gives results when the specific backup job is unfolded one time(this was a scary moment for me, as I needed to do a restore, and though it wasn't in the backups :) ). Then it works, up until the Veeam client is restarted.
See image 1 in included link(there are numerous VM's with "test" in name in the backups).

Also the "menu" button does not work as espected on my Windows 10 64 bit machine, where is does work fine on the server itself.

Can someone validate this as well?

Hello Mark,
I`ve just checked the behavior in my lab and everything works as expected.
1) Try to type VM name, not the job`s one.
2) What do you mean by "expected" and what do you experience?

Hello,

sorry Shestakov but this is a known issue of Update 1 and could be reproduced by Support! Ticket 01731509

Edit: BTW Veeam is working on a fix!

could you clarify what issue we are talking about? It`s hard to tell from your support case since it is in German. OP has mentioned 2 issues.
As far as I see from your case, your product version was v9u1. Did you need an additional hot fix for the issue?

Hello,

now that i checked the other one: both. Menu button not working here on W10 as well.

But the search not working was the one reproduced by Veeam... It is only working if you expand the backups until client restart.

... and yes hotfixes for both issues would be nice ...

It is not a database performance issue thats for sure Veeam tried to optimize that first but since expanding backups and then searching is fast it would not make sense.

Thanks for the reply.
So it may be related to Windows 10, since in my and one of my colleague`s labs(WS 2012R2) the issue wasn`t reproduced.
I`ll talk to your support engineer to get more details.

FYI: the search issue is also happening on 2012r2

First one (search) is a known issue. Please mention case number 01751544 to support, they have private fix for it.

Sorry for my late response.
I see that it are know issues and are being worked on, good.
(I don't need a hotfix, as long as it's fixed in a stable release.)

To be clear:
- The Search issue happens on W10, Windows 2008r2 and Win2012R2.
- The Menu issues only happens on W10(also validated by mkretzer ).

To anyone else viewing this, Veeam have a custom hotfix that replaces one of the dll files in v9 update 1491.
Contact support for the fix. I've been advised the fix will be part of v 9.5 when it is released.
