Real Data Size - Backup Size to Tape - Why different ?

Hello ,

Today i see something strange while an Backup To Disk Job is running .
The Total File Size from the two Backup Repositorys from which i Backup Files to Tape is araound 7.7 TB as you can see :



But whe you take an look in my running Backup Job you can see the that till this Moment 12.2 TB Read, 10.8 TB Processed by 79% , Transfered 10,8 TB ????


Why is this a so big differnece between this values ?

On the last Weekend it was only : Processed 6.9 TB 100% , 7.6 TB Read and 6.9 TB Transfered .


Under the Week it is impossible to add 3 TB to my File Backup Repositorys .

Could you clarify your case a bit?
You had disk backup job which showed "12.2 TB Read, 10.8 TB Processed by 79% , Transfered 10,8 TB" while one week ago same job showed "Processed 6.9 TB 100% , 7.6 TB Read and 6.9 TB Transfered."
Then your backup repositories were filled by 3.54TB + 4.2TB of backups and set file to tape job. Is that correct?
Do you have hardware deduplication on repositories? Do you have compression enabled on tape drives?

Sorry it was my fault .

I forget to activate the checkbox for "Process latest full backup chains are available on disk" , therefore the Backup to Tape Job trys to Backup all files , the vbk and the 30 vib Files to Tape .
